Art Class Details for 2006 TERM 2 starts May 1 2006 DETAILS - Click here Art classes are now being offered at the historic Branxton Inn to suit adults, secondary students and senior primary (Yr 4 - 6) students. Small classes, less than 10 students, guarantees personal attention. The Classes Both adult's and children's classes are drawing-based. Drawing is the fundamental skill which underpins all visual art and design practice. It allows us to turn ideas and emotions into a visible form. The classes provide an opportunity for students to develop their individual creativity and learn valuable skills in a relaxed but stimulating social environment. It's also fun - as past students can attest to. Students are encourage to pursue their own areas of interest through individual projects. Classes involve instruction and practice in basic drawing skills, exploration of materials and styles combined with discussion of related art theories and history. Adult and teenage classes run for 1 1/2 hours. Good coffee is provided, so relax and have some fun while you learn. Children's classes run for 1 1/4 hours. They are timed so kids come straight from school and hopefully simplify life for long-suffering parental taxis. Fruit and drinks will be served on arrival. Cost: $150 per term (9 weekly classes), plus $25 materials fee per term for children/teens and $35 for adults - this include use of equipment and art materials and light refreshments. Art classroom is fully air conditioned for comfort. Nothing else to spend so just turn up and have fun. Fees payable by Week 3 each term. Credit card facility available.
